Recognizing Virgin Indian Remy Hair

Indian Remy hair extensions are known the world over for their excellent quality. They are considered to be greatly superior to many of the other types of hair extensions on the market, and for a variety of reasons. Because of this, they are highly sought after and there are many women who would hate to have to settle for anything less. Unsurprisingly, countless suppliers of hair care products have decided to capitalize on this popularity by marketing Indian Remy hair extensions to their customers. While this is absolutely nothing short of a good thing, those in the market for these hair extensions should take a moment to learn about the existence of virgin Indian Remy hair and how it differs from other extensions that fall under the category.

Indian Remy hair is, essentially, hair that has been both taken from a single donor and selected first by the root. The reason why Indian Remy hair extensions are held in such high regard is because the cuticles of each strand are left intact. This is in direct contrast to the way in which other hair extensions are prepared; usually, the cuticles are stripped, lowering the quality of the hair by a significant margin. Indian Remy hair cuticles are then set in unidirectional alignment, which makes the hair look and feel perfectly natural. It allows the extensions to blend in with the wearer’s actual hair in a way that simply isn’t possible with other products.

Now, it must be understood that virgin Indian Remy hair differs only in the fact that it hasn’t been processed. It usually costs a bit more than non-virgin Remy extensions, and there are many disreputable suppliers who falsely refer to their products as virgin Indian Remy hair in order to make more money off their customers. The easiest way to tell the difference is to consider where you bought your extensions. You won’t find virgin Remy hair in an ordinary hair supply store. Furthermore, you should pay attention to the way the hair looks. Virgin Indian Remy hair extensions typically only come in various shades of black and brown.  This means that if your hair extensions come in many different colors, they’ve been processed.

None of this is to say that non-virgin Indian Remy hair extensions aren’t as good as virgin products. However, it’s important to make sure you’re buying from a trustworthy source. If they lie to you by trying to deceive you with false advertisement, you should take your business elsewhere. An honest supplier of non-virgin Remy hair is the way to go if you want more options.
