Starting with the same initial pose as the exercise above, you want to keep your arms stretched out while in an all fours position. Next, start to sit back until your glutes are right above your heels – just avoid sitting back all the way. Similar to the position above, you should do this pose for five to ten breaths.

Forward Bend

This pose is pretty easy compared to those mentioned above. The benefit of this exercise is that it works to stretch the hamstrings and lower back muscles. In addition, it is also known to release built up tension, thereby resulting in less stress and relief. To perform this pose, stand straight with your feet at a shoulder’s length apart. Next, bend forward at the waist so that your hands are above your feet. Even if you can’t reach all the way down, it’s ok. Your back will still experience the positive effects of this pose. This pose should be repeated from five to seven times.
